Description

The mind is never passive when experiencing the people-plant connection. In this course, we will explain the major benefits and functions of a sensory garden and how the sensory garden affects and actively engages our senses. You will discover how to incorporate the senses into a garden with tips for design and plant selection. You will also learn how it’s possible to have a simple indoor sensory garden or sensory cart with the same benefits. To evoke stimulation and memories that are particularly useful when working with people with Alzheimer’s disease, we also explain “Sensory Roundtable” approach to horticulture therapy.

This course has been pre-approved by the NCCAP.
