Description
This course will help professional caregivers understand hearing problems in older adults and how these problems can affect balance. It will discuss various types of hearing problems, such as:
- Presbycusis
- Noise-induced hearing loss
- Sensorineural hearing loss
- Conductive hearing loss
- Variations of common hearing losses
- Tinnitus
It will also recommend strategies and techniques to help the residents (and others) deal with hearing problems.
This course has been pre-approved by the NCCAP and APNCC.
